Shade: Nude (perfect match) and Vanilla

My thoughts: Finally!!! A foundation that matches...perfectly!!!! I love this foundation. It covers very well, but it doesnt look like you have anything on. You dont have that cakey look, which is always a plus.

I got this shade in Nude and its a PERFECT match for my NC25 skin. It has enough yellow and is not beige. It covers and blends beautifuly. I applied it with my foundation brush and it covered all my acne scars. I still used concealer though. I probably didnt have to but i just wanted to anyway haha. I am very happy with foundation. I put it on over 5 hours ago and it still looks as if i just applied it. However, my skin is oily and a little shine is coming through, but i just lightly brush on my MAC StudioFix Powder. No big deal. I love this! This is better than than their Boots No7 Stay Perfect Foundation. Another has a pump!
Compared to NC25: Nude is the perfect shade for us NC25 ladies. Vanilla was darker and pinkish.

Thanks for reading.

mark. Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup

Product: mark. Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup

Description as stated on Website: Hide flaws and diffuse light with this lightweight, oil-free, professional coverage formula. Sponge-tip applicator helps makeup glide on smoothly and mess free.

Coverage: Sheer to Light

Price: $10

Shade: Buff

My thoughts: I was excited to try this since it got COSMOgirl! 2006 Kiss of Approval Award Winner "Easiest-to-Use-Foundation." Sadly, I was disappointed. The packing is sooo weird and annoying you want to throw it against the wall.
mark doesnt have makeup that is specific for different undertones. Anyone can use their makeup regardless of your undertone. It has no coverage at all, very streaky, no staying power.

Compared to NC25: I thought Buff would match me, but no. It looks pinkish.

  • Controls shine and won't clog pores

  • 12 shades

  • Coverage: Light to Medium

Price: $10-15 (depending on where you buy it and where you live)

    Shade: Nude, Natural Beige

My thoughts: You know how I said that cosmetics companies need to make more makeup for yellow undertoned women (light, medium and dark tones)? Neutrogena isnt one of these companies that looks like they are even trying to cater to the yellow toned girls.

I didnt buy this because the shade selection for yellow undertones were close to nothing,. However, the ones I did find were too dark.
Compared to NC25: Couldn't find a shade that matched me at all. Nude looked like it had pink tones in it and Natural Beige was way too dark, but did have yellow undertones. (NC 30-35). Next!

Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation (Combination/Oily Skin)

Product: Revlon Colorstay for Combination/Oily Skin

Description as stated on Website: ColorStay™ Makeup with SoftFlex™ provides lightweight comfort, so you feel like you’re not wearing makeup. Looks fresh for up to 16 hours.

    Coverage: Medium to Full coverage

Price: $10-15 (depending on where you buy it and where you live)

Shade: Buff, Sand Beige, Golden Beige

My thoughts: I have read so many reviews about this foundation! So, why am I doing yet another review, you ask? Well, its for my NC25 ladies of course! Sadly, there isnt a shade in this line that matches an NC25. Some of you that are NC25 but not as yellow, but with neutral undertones might be lucky and can get away with it, but for those who are truly NC25...I'm sorry ladies...I feel your pain.
Its very cakey and hard to blend. You WILL look like you have makeup on...even if you dont slather it on. It has been said that Revlon Colorstay is a dupe of MAC studiofix fluid. What do I say? Its close...but StudioFix is much more bendable and has an abundant of colors for the yellow-toned ladies. Coverage is about the same for both. Would i buy it again? No.
Compared to NC25: Couldn't find a shade that matched me well enough. Buff was too light, but had the yellow undertones (comparable to NC20). Sand beige seemed to have neutral undertones, which would look weird on my face and Golden Beige which is supposed to match every Asian or person that have prominent yellow undertones, would have been perfect except...its too dark (comparable to NC30-35).

Almay Truly Lasting Color Foundation Review

Product: Almay Truly Lasting Color Foundation

Description as stated on Website: Tlc truly lasting color™ makeup with SPF 15 delivers up to 16 hours of flawless coverage that won't rub off—even in heat and humidity. Plus, it nourishes your skin with a blend of green tea to protect, vitamin E to help smooth, and lemon extract to brighten...for all day, natural radiance.
    Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist tested.

    Coverage: Medium to Full coverage

Price: $10-18 (depending on where you buy it and where you live)

Shade: Buff 02. I think its the second to the lightest shade. It looked the most yellow and seemed light enough.

My thoughts: I think this is one of the best foundations i have ever tried and one of the very few that actually match my skin tone! It also has a wonderful pump! It is a little different than others. For some reason, it was hard for me to apply using my Studio Essentials foundation brush (review later). I found it easier to just apply it with my fingers. I know I dare she right? But seriously, sometimes the only tool you need are your fingers. It is not for anyone with dry skin. This makeup does not transfer or come off! It is MUCH better than my MAC StudioFix Fluid Foundation in terms of transfer, the overall look and of course the price.

Compared to NC25: It isnt as yellow as I would have liked but it still works well and blends nicely into my skin.

    Hello Everyone!

Thank you for stopping by. I made this blog for all the NC25 girls out there, so it would be easier for you all to find makeup that actually matches your skin tone.

I am tired of looking at reviews and blogs that don't address our skin tone, which is actually quite popular. I thought I'd do something about it and here I am! The NC25 Girl's Makeup Headquarters was born!

I will be listing reviews of products that I have bought with my own money and stating if the shade worked for me or not, as well as all the other regular comments on coverage, staying power, wrinkles/lines, covering post acne scars, etc.

In addition to makeup, I will also be reviewing skincare products. I have tried many high end and low end products including prescriptions from dermatologists, OTC, ethnic and herbal and i wanted to share with you my comments and hopefully that will help you.

If you have any suggestions or comments, please send me an email or comment and I will do my best to cater to your needs.
